Power Device Division (PDD) joined Fairchild Semiconductor on April 13, 1999. Prior to April, 1999, PDD had been a division of Samsung Electronics for more than 20 years. The PDD Facility manufactures Bipolar TR, MOSFET, IGBT, Power IC, and Motor IC. The facility, based in Bucheon, Korea, has a complete production system including discrete and IC R&D groups, the Fab. line, the assembly line, and the testing line. PDD has a long and distinguished history as a leader in the Korean semiconductor industry
